Introduction to The Rice Merchants’ Association of Hong Kong

The Rice Merchants’ Association of Hong Kong (the “Association”), formerly known as The Rice Merchants’ Union, was founded in 1919 and the name was officially changed in 1937. The Association was established to unite licensed rice merchants to promote a vibrant and healthy rice supply chain ecosystem in Hong Kong.

Interpretation of the Association’s Emblem

The emblem of The Rice Merchants’ Association of Hong Kong was meticulously designed by Mr. Yeung Wing Yau, with the colours and images on the emblem representing different meanings.
